Please note: The submissions deadline has been extended to Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. (EST).
We encourage all publishers, publicists, and authors to take advantage of this additional time to submit eligible titles.
The Publishing Triangle is proud to announce that submissions are now open for our annual literary awards, honoring the best LGBTQ+ books published between January 1 and December 31, 2025.
This year, we will celebrate excellence across ten open award categories:
- The Randy Shilts Award for Gay Nonfiction
- The Judy Grahn Award for Lesbian Nonfiction
- The Audre Lorde Award for Lesbian Poetry
- The Thom Gunn Award for Gay Poetry
- The Edmund White Award for Debut Fiction
- The Leslie Feinberg Award for Trans and Gender-Variant Literature
- The Joseph Hansen Award for LGBTQ+ Crime Writing
- Jacqueline Woodson Award for LGBTQ+ Children’s/YA Literature
- Amber Hollibaugh Award for LGBTQ+ Social Justice Writing
- The Ferro-Grumley Award for LGBTQ+ Fiction: (presented in conjunction with the Ferro-Grumley Literary Awards Foundation)
In addition, we will honor outstanding contributions to LGBTQ+ literature and advocacy with these special awards:
The Bill Whitehead Award for Lifetime Achievement; The Betty Berzon Emerging Writer Award; The Michele Karlsberg Leadership Award; and The Publishing Triangle Torchbearer Award.
✨ All of these prizes include honorariums.
