Join us on Wednesday, April 17 at The New School (63 Fifth Avenue off 13th Street, UC Auditorium) for the 36th annual Publishing Triangle Awards. The ceremony, hosted by poet and activist Emanuel Xavier, will also be livestreamed, and a reception will follow. The awards ceremony and reception are both FREE and open to the public. The event starts at 7pm but arrive early and take pics in front of our new step-and-repeat banner.
This celebration of LGBTQ+ authors and books will feature presenters Carole DeSantiJP Howard, John Keene, Wo ChanReginald HarrisHugh Ryan, Judy Grahn, Teresa DeCrescenzoChristopher BramStephen Greco, and Carol Rosenfeld. Michael Nava and Jacqueline Woodson will also present via video.
Winners in nine competitive categories will be announced. Special awards presented will include: Dorothy Allison with The Bill Whitehead Award for Lifetime Achievement; Hilary Zaid with The Betty Berzon Emerging Writer Award; Emily Drabinski with The Publishing Triangle Torchbearer Award; and Kris Kleindienst with The Michele Karlsberg Leadership Award.
