Briona Simone Jones: “On the Receiving End of Grace”

This year’s winner of the Judy Grahn Award for Lesbian Nonfiction is Mouths of Rain: An Anthology of Black Lesbian Thought, edited by Briona Simone Jones. In this thank-you video, Jones gives her gratitude to the more than three dozen contributors and to all those who helped her put the book together and get it publisher. “I feel so fortunate,” she says, “to be on the receiving end of grace of this magnitude.” Mouths of Rain is published by the New Press.
